Lang Welcomes Two New Architects
We are excited to welcome our new Senior Project Leader, Chris Junkin, to Lang Studio. Initially inspired by darkroom photography and printmaking, Chris has always been passionate about technical design practice. Now his architectural practice relies heavily on the artistic iterative process. Chris has been an architect for sixteen years, with notable past projects such as the $60 million Spence School Athletic Center renovation and the new World Trade Center building. He joins us from Rogers Partners and is eager to jump into Lang’s new development projects. Chris’ favorite projects are multi-unit, large scale development projects where he is faced with complex design programs. While not at his desk, Chris enjoys sports such as snowboarding, water skiing and ice skating with his son.
We are delighted to welcome Yuchen Zhang to Lang Studio as a project designer. Yuchen is a lover of classic novels, and describes her architecture style as quirky and textured. Before joining Lang Studio in January, she worked at BAAO, where she managed large scale projects, from the schematic design phase to construction administration. Yuchen prefers detail oriented work, and appreciates working with clients to help them create their dream space. In her free time, she enjoys attending or organizing events within the LGBTQ+ community.
